Funded by the European and Developing Clinical Trials Partnership and sponsored by St George’s, University of London, periCOVID Africa proposes a programme of work building on existing pregnancy and neonatal cohorts in five African countries to answer a number of questions.

Overview

Crucial Studies.

Our overall aim is to describe transmission and immunity of COVID-19 in pregnant women and their infants through 3 integrated work packages (WPs):

  • WP1: Project Management and Scientific Coordination
  • WP2: COVID-19 surveillance and seroepidemiology in pregnant women in five African nations
  • WP3: Communications, networking and dissemination
